Forum on growth and development mechanisms held

The Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) held its 6th academic forum of the year in Beijing on May 29, 2013, which focused on economic growth and development mechanisms and attracted more than 30 officials and researchers from the DRC.
Liu Peilin, deputy director-general of the DRC’s Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, was the speaker. He discussed new approaches to economic growth and development, and how entrepreneurs and science and technology experts contribute to sustainable economic growth. Liu said that, in order to encourage entrepreneurs and talented people, the authorities should promote a system and culture in which they could play their roles and bring more benefits to the mankind.
