Since the "micro" era of accelerated technological transformation, great changes have taken place in information dissemination, public opinion and public participation, and the public opinion supervision environment has demonstrated unprecedentedly open, highly transparent and full-time supervision features.

The "Peace Lanzhou • Micro Vision" website, which has been developed by the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CPC Lanzhou Municipal Committee, was launched successfully to meet the needs of residents for the first time on August 20, opening a new page for publicity regarding the Peace Lanzhou.

This website focuses on micro-videos and integrates resources, real-time participation and intimacy with its audience as well as other advantages, becoming China's first specialized Political and Legal Video website. The newly-launched "Peace Lanzhou • Micro Vision" website, which is based in Lanzhou province, was built into a platform that presents to the public the work style and sentiment of officials involved in the political and legal system. The website will fulfill the purpose of serving the public, popularizing political and legal affairs, accepting supervision and guiding public opinion, adhering to the ideology of resource integration and differentiated development, and highlighting the features of originality, a people-first mentality and interaction.

A series of micro-videos will be launched to record and display the great journey of constructing Peace Lanzhou in a normalized and fully open manner. In this way, a unique publicity mode of political and legal affairs will be created, and particular brand values will be established. In terms of content selection, this website breaks through the pattern of traditional government websites, and mainly focuses on popular micro-videos, which will not only cater for the public interest and intensify their participation, but also intensively show the outstanding pioneers in the political and legal system and the eye-catching achievements made in construction of the Peace Lanzhou by virtue of the new media.

In terms of column settings, the website draws on the design style of a domestic top-class video website, builds up a panoramic propaganda model for political and legal affairs via six sections on movies, characters, themes, society, entertainment and MV, gains integrated communication advantages, and forms an interaction of the topics. The website is aimed at displaying and interpreting a new image of Peace Lanzhou from different views, establishing its reputation, and enabling it to be a shop window for political and legal work in Lanzhou, and carrying it forward profoundly through the peace construction journey and in the heart of all citizens.

After the launch of the "Peace Lanzhou • Micro Vision" website, the first "Micro Vision" series will be produced and presented by relying on the micro-video advantages of "low cost, high ratings and high added values", and guiding the media to turn their spotlights onto peace heroes and peace construction, display and record stories about officials of political and legal affairs by means of micro-publicity films, micro-documentaries and film shorts.

The website is also dedicated to reproducing the "people-first attitude" of grassroots police officers via lens language, trying to gather the peace guardian force, showing the characteristics of Peace Lanzhou and creating the brand of Peace Lanzhou. The "Peace Lanzhou • Micro Vision" series works, which are being presented elaborately by the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CPC Lanzhou Municipal Committee, will be shown officially on media and websites such as Gansu Provincial Mobile Video Base, Lanzhou TV, Youku, etc.

"Micro Vision" not only records the stories of officials involved in the political and legal system, but also attempts to display the great pattern of peace construction from a small breakthrough point and show the panorama of Peace Lanzhou from a "micro" perspective. It is learnt that the "Peace Lanzhou • Micro Vision" series works include 10 episodes of a micro-documentary named Peace Hero, a city publicity film named Peace Lanzhou and a micro-film named Lucky Clover in Paradise.

The micro-videos of three different styles are integrated together to interpret the image of "Peace Lanzhou" from different perspectives. The film publicizes the calmness and peace of Lanzhou with a combination of different figures at different ages; each episode of the micro-documentary chooses an ordinary but great grassroots police officer to show their toil, persistence, efforts and steadfastness; the micro-film describes the loyalty and mission of the police officers, and portrays the separation or death of common families and the great human love without regrets.

The micro-film lasts for more than 10 minutes only, but the story holds an in-depth meaning. This series of works adheres to the principle of "Less is more", focuses on details, attaches great importance to the relationship between individual story and society, tries to portray real police officers in a more visual, vivid and authentic manner, and display the image of Peace Lanzhou from a brand new perspective.
