A group of Chinese media organizations visited Huaqiao Kunshan, located in central China’s Jiangsu Province on June 26.
The group, organized by the Ministry of Commerce, consisted of Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, the People’s Daily newspaper, Central People’s Broadcasting Station, China Radio International, the Economic Daily, First Financial Daily, and International Business Daily.
The media focused on the development of the service outsourcing industry as well as its functions to promote the employment of graduates, optimize the export structure and make better use of foreign funds.
The questions, posed by the journalists, also covers many other aspects, including the future of cross-straits trade zone, the effects of financial crisis on the development of BPO and the conditions of Huaqiao to train service outsourcing talents.
Shen Huafei, Vice Director of the Administration Committee of the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, received the interview group.
He said with the adjustments of the international financial industry, the Chinese government’s recognition of service outsourcing, and Shanghai’s transformation into an international financial hub, we have the confidence to build Huaqiao into a satellite town for the metropolis in 2015, the 10th anniversary of Huaqiao’s founding.
At that time, Huaqiao will be approximately 10,000,000 square meters in size and serve as a technology intensive service outsourcing base, with 100 billion yuan production capacity and 300,000 staff.
