Japanese cycling enthusiast Kawahara Keiichiro, a world traveler who rode through dozens of countries on his bicycle, lost his bike while in Wuhan on Feb 16, 2012, ifeng.com reported on Tuesday.

The report said that on Feb 16, Kawahara rode to Han Street in Wuhan, China, and left his bicycle against a wall, under a parking attendant's watch, to visit the pedestrian street. However, he found his bike missing when he came back.

But the attendant denied he was responsible for the loss, because Kawahara did not park his bike in the designated zone and the exceeding parking time was beyond his duty, the report said.

Kawahara called for help in finding his 13,000 yuan ($1,933) bicycle, which had accompanied him in dozens of countries over the years. "My bike is my love, my girl and my best friend. I really want it back," he said.

To his relief, his beloved bicycle was found by police and returned to Kawahara on Feb 20, the report said.
