The four stones on the top of mountain is very much like the master and the three apprentices in the classic novel Journey To The West. Among the four ones, the most famous one is called Shaseng Stone, which stands at the mountain peak of the cliffs taking the form of mushroom. It weighs to more than 100 tons while the bottom is only 200 square centimeters. Every square centimeter bears the weight of nearly half ton on average, which rates as a wonder of the world.

According to the record of history, on the southern bank of the Yangtze River lies one huge stone which looks very much like a tablet, from which its name comes after. The Stone Tablet is about 32 meters high, 13 meters wide, 4 meters thick and 4,300 tons in weight. In distance, it feels magnificent and of great mighty. In the Five Dynasties and the later Zhou Dynasty, the Xiazhou Prefecture was once set up here.

The shadow-play Cave, which is about 1,500 meters in length, feels deep and quiet.

Terrene in this cave takes on a look of great magnificence and is changeable. The stones with colors such as black, white, yellow, gray and green and different shapes form an miraculous scenery here. When hit with hand, a king voice like drum or gong can be heard. Furthermore, visitors may be surprised at underground water-flow, which is about 30 meters high, with various melodious sounds.

7. The forth spring under heaven--Toad Spring

Toad Spring provides the best water for tea making.

Toad Spring, which runs day and night, provides the best water for tea making. Lu Yu, a famous scholar in the Tang Dynasty, drunk the water from the spring and called it “the forth spring under heaven”.

Before the construction of Gezhouba Dam and Three Gorges Dam, there was a stone like a toad by the spring. Many ancient poets and scholars like Su Zhe, Huang Tingjian, Wang Shizhen and Zhang Zhidong, etc. have left their letters on this spring here.
