The finals of this year’s “Shuxiang Xingsha” classical Chinese poem contest were held on Xingsha Culture Square, in Changsha county, the night of Sept 16, and, after some fierce competition, the Chinese Youth Saying performance recommended by the Songya Community Bookstore, took the prize.

There were 15 teams taking part, selected through elimination from seven towns, delivering classical Chinese poems of various kinds, with a first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and nine other prizes for the winners.

One village official from Chunhua town got a lot of attention for her Promote Unity Among Ethnic Groups , Fulfill the Chinese Dream. She explained that she has been in Changsha county for two years and has established a strong connection with the place, even though she is from Xinjiang and her Chinese is not perfect. But she performed with deep feeling.
