The city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia, will be opening its 1st Internet conference, on May 20, with the organizing done by its Internet culture association with support from the government and related Internet companies, with invitations going out to the heads of both national and local internet companies and media.

The focus will be on the Internet's prospects in an age of the "Internet Plus" and there will also be a launch ceremony for a Baotou new media federation and the publication of its regulation act as well as awards going to some influential companies and people who advise government and setting the direction of the industry.
