Introduction: Yang's Grain Mill, originated from Shen Congwen's novel San San, tells a story of a girl named San San who used to live an easy life in Yang's grain mill and later meets a boy from a wealthy family who changes the rest of her life. The two wish to move to the city for a better life. However, the boy dies, shattering their dream.

The drama features Jiangnan culture, spectacular stage effects, creative costumes and distinctive music.
