Southern coastline would serve as Petrochemical Operation Zone, Support System Zone and Reserved Development Zone.

(1) Petroleum Operation Zone

The area on the east of dredge field at the estuary of Haihe River, 3.53 km. long and occupying 1.46 sq km, will serve as Petrochemical Operation Zone, deploying 13 berths for refined oil and liquid chemicals.

Annual carrying capacity is around 16 million tons.

(2) Support System Zone

Located with land area of 0.1 sq km in the middle, the Support System Zone will establish Marine and Harbor-to-Vessel bases to serve southern terminals of Tianjin South Port and Dagukou Port along the 0.5 km long coastline.

(3) Reserved Development Zone

The remaining coastline on the south of Tianjin South Port is around 7.95 km, covering land area of 4.25 sq km. The area has abundant coastlines and favorable conditions, but unfavorable collecting & distributing conditions caused uncertain development demand.

It would function as Reserved Development Zone. The development will be subject to demand.
