Brief introduction

Updated: 2012-09-18

Located at the south of Xingang Navigation Channel and north of Dagusha Navigation Channel, Tianjin South Port is a long and narrow artificial island, 15 km long from east to west and 1.3~2 km wide from south to north.

The coastline is expected to stretch 24.8 km, among the northern coastline 12.85 km and southern coastline 12 km. Total land area would be 25.7 sq km.

Northern coastline is key for development, while southern coastline should be moderately developed on conditions and demands for land.

The northern side might keep the existing support system and petroleum operation zones, and then develop eastward.

The existing coal and mineral terminals are taken as operation bases for dry bulk cargos.

300,000DWT crude oil terminal would develop into a large crude oil terminal zone. Except for developing the petroleum operation zone in western coastline and facility infrasture in middle part, other sections of coastlines would be reserved.

Nanjing Bulk Cargo Logistics Center will be adjusted and are not in use for now.
