Everest Base Camp, Tibet Autonomous Region
At over 8,800 meters, Qomolangma Feng (known in English as Mount Everest) is the world's highest summit. Located on the Himalayan border, many have died trying to scale the mighty mountain. For the sane, a postcard view (pictured) from the more accessible Base Camp in Tibet will suffice.
