Autistic children see Dr.Dolphin
An autistic child receives dolphin-assisted therapy at a public benefit activity in Hefei Aquarium, an ocean park in Hefei, capital of east China’s Anhui province, April 19, 2010. The therapy helps autistic children improve their language and communication abilities by watching dolphin performances. They also get to touch the dolphins and listen to the sounds made by these creatures. Studies show that the multi-wavelength and high-frequency ultrasounds produced by a dolphin is usually around a 2-2MHz range, which can impact and stimulate the brain of an autistic child, activating their nerve cells from a sleep state.
