Disabled students take exam
Accompanied by his father, Zhang Lianxing, an armless examinee walks in to a high school, ready to take the college entrance examination in Anqing, Anhui province, June 7, 2010. Zhang lost his arms in a voltage transformer accident when he was 12 years old. The costly treatment necessitated by the injury dragged the family of four into poverty, throwing them onto the streets to go begging door to door for more than a month. But the tragedy never brought him to his knees. Suffering the tortures of suppurated wounds, he learned how to write with his toes and kept practicing five hours every day. As the examination date drew near, his school reserved a special room for Zhang's test, ensuring him a sound test-taking environment. [Photo/Asianewsphoto]
