Hot sand treatment popular in Xinjiang
A woman receives traditional hot sand treatment in Wubao Ghost City, Hami prefecture of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, July 17, 2010. Lingering heat has pushed up the region's surface temperature to over 50 degrees centigrade, providing good conditions for sand treatment for patients with arthritis and joint problems. It is believed the treatment works because it combines sun bathing with magnet and massage. [Photo/Asianewsphoto]
