NW China's Xinjiang launches BRT bus service

Three BRT (bus rapid transit) public buses stop at a station in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region August 28, 2011. The city introduced the BRT service on Sunday, after an investment of 930 million yuan ($145.72 million), in a bid to improve traffic. A total of 96 such buses are in service on three BRT lines.
