Lei Feng spirit lives on in small railway station

A Lei Feng statue is seen at the waiting hall of Piaoertun Railway Station, Fushun city of Liaoning province. In the winter of 1961, Lei Feng (1940- 1962), a heroic model in China who was known for his altruism and devotion to the country, had always did voluntary work at Piaoertun Railway Station when his troops were stationed near the city. Since his death in 1962, workers of the station have taken Lei Feng as a role model and tried to offer best services to passengers. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
