Huaibei Mining (Group) Co, a leading mining company in China, launched a coal mine rescue drill for its rescue personnel on Tuesday, to prepare for potential mine emergencies.

More than 280 rescue workers and firefighters participated in the drill, which is expected to last one week. They practiced operating mine-rescue equipment, and evacuating and treating injured coal workers. The drill was done in simulated conditions for underground tunnels in a coal mine.
