Wuhou Temple
 
The Wuhou Temple is a famous historical and cultural relic in Chengdu which has enjoyed a history of many centuries. First built in 223, it was built as a sacred place of the Three Kingdoms and a perfect example of the architecture in the Three Kingdoms period (220–280). For nearly 1,800 years, it is a famous tourist destination in the city.
 
Wuhou Temple is mainly composed of five buildings, including the front gate, the interior gate, the hall for Emperor Liu Bei (the emperor of Shu Kingdom), the hall for Zhuge Liang (a chancellor of Shu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period who is often recognized as the greatest and most accomplished strategist of his era), and Hui Mausoleum (the mausoleum of the Emperor Liu Bei).
