Wuxi New District holds farewell meeting for recruits

Wuxi New District held a farewell meeting for recruits on Sept 3, attended by 300 people, including government officials, recruits and their parents.

The meeting began with the anthem. After Wang Zhiyuan, director of the district’s People’s Arm Department, read a recruits list, representatives of recruits and parents gave a speech, expressing their determination and hope.

Zhang Minglie, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Wuxi New District, said recruits should learn political theory well, setting up a correct world outlook, life philosophy and values. They should also study military technology and skills; strictly observe military disciplines, cultivating good spirits; and dare to be pioneers in their work, striving to be an excellent soldier.

A total of 105 people will be enlisted this year, serving in Fujian, Shandong, An’hui, Nanjing and Tianjin.
