German Ammermueller to test drive for Red Bull

Michael Ammermueller came out the third driver for Red Bull Racing who will show up in Friday's practice at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prixs, announced the Formula One team Wednesday.

The 20-year-old German replaces Dutchman Robert Doornbos, who has moved up to the race drive after the early departure of Austrian Christian Klien.

Ammermueller competed in the GP2 feeder series this season, winning at the opening round in Valencia.
