Romanian Marcel Butuza quits Dakar Rally

Romanian Marcel Butuza was forced to quit Dakar 2007 Rally after his motorbike had technical reported on Monday.

Butuza, a member of the Compet Pulse team, was forced to quit at the 53rd km of the race.

A versed motorbiker, 31-year-old Butuza vied as No. 79 and had best results in the 6th round when he ranked 42nd. After 7 rounds, Butuza stays 97th in the classification.

Romanian racers Romeo Dunca participated in the 2005 Dakar Rally and Zsolt Szilveszter in the contest's 2006 edition.

Dunca finished the competition as 79th, but Szilvester abandoned the race only after 5 rounds because another contestant wounded him seriously.
