Three dead in helicopter crash near French F1 GP

MAGNY-COURS, France - Three people were killed and two injured in a helicopter crash after leaving the French Grand Prix circuit late on Saturday, police said.

Formula One sources at Magny-Cours said employees of Japanese tyre maker Bridgestone were believed to be among those involved.

No details were immediately available and there was no confirmation from Bridgestone.

Sunday's race is the eighth round of the Formula One championship. All teams are supplied by Bridgestone.
