Ronaldo got the fourth child from three different relationships

SAO PAULO - Former Brazil player Ronaldo says DNA tests have proved he is the biological father of a 5-year-old boy.

Ronaldo said in a message posted Tuesday night on his Twitter account: "Alex is my son and the brother of three more beautiful children. He will always have me as a father."

Ronaldo, who plans to play one more season with Brazilian club Corinthians before retiring, already has a son and two daughters.

Local media says Alex's mother is Michele Umezu, a Brazilian model who first met Ronaldo when she was living in Tokyo in 2002. Ronaldo returned to Tokyo in 2004 with his then-club Real Madrid.
