Xiaoli, a freshman from Xinjiang, found his roommates in Zhejiang University had something in common with him – they all stay up late, reported Xinhua on Monday.

It is thanks to a new policy carried out by the school, which took the living habits of the newly enrolled students into consideration in dormitory allocation. Under the arrangement, those who sleep late in the night have been put together. The move has been praised by students.

At the beginning of new school year, a middle school in Beijing rejected some long-haired male students on the grounds that a fashionable hairdo would distract them from studying, reported the Beijing News.

The school rules state that boys should have crew cut and girls should braid their long hair. The school also forbids colored hair and nail, arguing that students should pay more attention to studying, not hairdo and make-up.

Man finds woman not his wife after 10 years

A man in Zhejiang province filed for divorce only to discover that his wife was not who she claimed to be, reported xxcb.cn.

The man, surnamed Li, married his wife 10 years ago and they have a son. In 2012, the woman left home after a quarrel with him and never came back.

The court summoned the woman, whose surname is Tian according to her ID card. However, in the court, the "wife" and "husband" found out that they had never even met each other. It turns out that the woman who married Li is someone who picked up the ID card of Tian and tied the knot with the man in Tian's name.

A mother in Nanjing, surnamed Zeng, has tested the drinking capacity of her 18-year-old daughter who will leave soon to attend college in the United States.
