Monkeys respond to savior's call

Give a long call out to the mountain and monkeys will come bouncing and screaming all the way to you? This is not just a scene from the Tarzan movies but a reality in Guizhou province.

Five years ago Xiao Zhijian, 52, a rural man living at an isolated mountainous village, rescued a monkey while collecting firewood whose left foreleg was stuck in a wild clip set by hunters. He attended to its injuries by applying herbal medicine and raised it for six months, before releasing it back into the wild.

On Nov 20, 2014, Xiao woke up in the morning and found the monkey at his door, along with six smaller monkeys, supposedly its children.

Slowly the animals began to recognize Xiao's whistling, and would come within 10 minutes if he called.
