Officials keep watch from mountain cave

Forest fire inspectors in Nanchang city, Jiangxi province have a very unusual workplace – a cave in the side of the mountain, overlooking a mountain road.

Gao Hongbin, the inspector, dug the cave with his colleagues over three months, providing themselves with a shelter from wind and rain, and giving them a better view of the path from their office on the mountain.

The cave can fit two seats, and the officials carved a closet inside to shelve their belongings.

Ever wish parents of crying babies would apologize to fellow travelers? One mother made some adorable cartoons to do so, in our next story.
