Ancient tree draws crowds

A 1,210-year-old tree in Chenzhou, Hunan province has been attracting many tourists even after the National Day holiday, qq.com reported.

The camphor tree, planted in 805 AD during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) by renowned scholar Han Yu, has been included on the cultural relics protection list of the city.

The tree is flourishing, with exhuberant growth, and is so wide that it requires eight adults holding hands to encircle its trunk.
