President Liu Qi
Liu has been serving as BOCOG President since
the establishment of the organization in December 2001. He is now a member
of the Political Bureau of the 16th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central
Committee, and Secretary of the Beijing Municipal CPC
Committee. |
First Vice-President
Chen Zhi Li Chen served as Publicity Sub-committee
Chairman within the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, as well as other
roles including Vice-Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee,
Vice-Chairman of the State Education Commission, and Minister of
Education. Chen was appointed State Councilor in March
2003. |
Executive President Liu Peng Liu is concurrently the Minister of the General
Administration of Sports and President of the Chinese Olympic
Committee. Liu was appointed BOCOG Executive President in January
2005. |
Executive President Wang
Qishan
Wang is also a member of the
16th CPC Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Beijing Municipal CPC
Committee, and Mayor of Beijing. Wang was appointed BOCOG Executive
President in June 2003.

Executive President Deng Pufang Deng is the incumbent
President of China Disabled Persons' Federation, and Chairman of China
Welfare Fund for the Handicapped. Deng was appointed BOCOG Executive
President in January 2004.

Executive Vice President Liu Jingmin Liu is v ice Mayor of Beijing and Executive Vice President of BOCOG.
Liu was also involved in Beijing's Olympic bid as Executive Vice President
of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Bid Committee.

Vice President Wang Wei Wang serves
as Secretary General of the BOCOG and Vice Chairman of All-China
Sports Federation.

Executive Vice-President Yu
Zaiqing Yu is concurrently Vice
Minister of State General Administration of Sports (SGAS), IOC Executive
Board member; Vice President of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), of Chinese
Olympic Committee, and of All-China Sports
Federation. |
Executive Vice-President Duan
Shijie Duan is also Vice-President
of All-China Sports Federation, the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC), and
Chinese Athletic Association; Member of Executive Committee of World
Anti-doping Agency (WADA) and Vice Minister of the State General
Administration of Sports
(SGAS).
