Plane crash kills 2 in southeastern Venezuela

CARACAS, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed when a light plane crashed on Friday in the Aro River area in Guayana city of Venezuela's Bolivar state, some 700 kilometers southeast of the national capital Caracas.

The Cesna 182 light plane belongs to the Pilotage aerial school, and it crashed around 1:30 p.m. local time after hitting an electrical cable, the state-run TV channel Venezolana de Television (VTV) said.

The report said firemen and aviation experts went to the scene for investigation.
The victims included an aviation trainee and his guide.
