Ads for homework services fill the Internet as the new school semester is approaching in China, China Youth Daily reported on Wednesday.
All sorts of online ads allure students who are late in finishing their homework for the summer vacation, the report said.
Rubo, a college student in his junior year, said he has been engaged in the homework business for three years. He even set up a 10-member staff, all college students, to raise his profits, he said.
Rubo said physics and chemistry bring in the most, and the closer to deadlines, the more they cost. As summer vacation draws to a close, they are all fully buried in students’ homework. “We have no time to do homework below 700 yuan,” he added.
Some ads present photos and college information of the “helpers” and display some of the completed homework on the Internet. The buyers can pay through an online payment system, the report said. The paper said some ads drew students in with a guaranteed 90 percent accuracy and promises of a one-day turnaround.
A high-school student surnamed Li said it was unfair if his classmates are finding someone else to do their homework while he threw in all of his effort. However, another student surnamed Xia expressed his understanding, saying sometimes the homework load is too much for vacation, the report said.
