Guangxi University in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region ranked 83rd among China's top 100 best universities, rated as a three-star Chinese well-known university, in the list released by university evaluation website cuaa.net on March 21.
Peking University claimed the top spot, having held that position 10 times since 2003. Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Wuhan Unviersity and Zhejiang University came in at second to fifth.
The list concluded that three cities, Beijing, Shanghai and Wuhan, were the best cities in China for students to study.
The cuaa.net is a website run by the Chinese University Alumni Association (CUAA). The CUAA was founded in 1989 by a group of senior specialists in information technology and data analysis. It has carried out research on Chinese universities for almost 30 years.
