Representatives from The New York Philharmonic and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra celebrate an agreement for a four-year partnership between the two sides.The agreement, in collaboration with CAMI Music, will include the establishment of an Orchestral Academy in Shanghai, as well as annual performance residencies by the Philharmonic in Shanghai through the 2017-18 season. The annual Asian American Insurance and Financial Professional Association (AAIFPA) held its 5th national convention in San Francisco on November 9. Keynote speaker Maurice Greenberg, Chairman and CEO of C.V. Starr & Co., Inc., said American insurance companies should joint venture with Chinese firms in order to introduce new products to Chinese consumers under the regulations of the Chinese government.
