High-level diplomats deliver parcels to Chinese customers

Ambassador of Argentina to China and high-level diplomats of New Zealand, Australia and Brazil, accompanied by couriers, delivered Tmall parcels of e-commerce giant Alibaba to lucky customers in Shanghai on Nov 11, 2017.
Alibaba, China's leading e-commerce platform, recorded 168.3 billion yuan ($25.4 billion) in sales on the ninth Singles Day shopping festival, which is similar to Black Friday sale in the US but records many more transactions. A total of 812 million orders were generated in the 24 hours, 23 percent more than the previous year.
Over 140,000 overseas brands from 206 countries and regions participated in this year's gala. Customers from 225 countries and regions took part in the shopping spree.
