Chinese banks report net forex sales in 2017

BEIJING — China's commercial banks recorded net foreign exchange sales in 2017, the country's forex regulator said Thursday.

Commercial banks bought $1.6441 trillion worth of foreign currencies and sold $1.7557 trillion last year, resulting in net sales of $111.6 billion, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE).
