Kexue, or "Science" translated literally, lower the TV grab bucket into the sea for taking rock and sediment samples at the Magellan Seamounts in the West Pacific on March 27, 2018. The vessel left the eastern city of Qingdao on March 10 on an expedition to the seamounts. With 80 people on board, the vessel is expected to return in late April. The Magellan chain consists of more than 10 large tablemounts. [Photo/Xinhua]
