Pear blossom festival opens in suburban Beijing

After a round of gloomy sleet, sunshine and clear skies have returned to Beijing. Blossoming pear trees in Beijing's Daxing district offer the perfect setting for city dwellers to experience nature's beauty. The annual pear blossom festival opens right before Tomb Sweeping Day and will run through April 15.
