"It is a great feeling to see people flying and landing just like a plane. I just wish I could try it," Hamada Ahmed, an event photographer told Xinhua during the festival. The young man said he may think of getting parachuting classes in Egypt since air games have really attracted him.

"It sounds crazy to do such an adventure and jump from an altitude of 8,000 feet, but I guess I will try it," he said.

Event organizers say one of the goals is to promote air sports among the Egyptians and the young people worldwide since such sports are not well known in Egypt and most of Arab countries.

For the athletes, it has been a great experience not only to participate in such a unique event, but also to fly over the Great Pyramids.
