The State General Administration of Sport recently issued a document on further enhancing the supervision and regulation of sports events by establishing a credit record for the main organizers of sports events.

Large-scale sports events that are poorly organized may create many kinds of problems, even accidents. Strengthening the supervision and management of sports events will promote the healthy development of large-scale sports events and better protect the legal rights of participants and spectators.

Many events exhibit poor organization, little social benefit, and obvious safety risks. Such events may disturb public order and pose public safety risks. The organizers of such events will be blacklisted.

National sports association are to be responsible for giving guidance to competition organizers, and credit records for national sports associations will be established. The authorities will punish them for any sports events that violate the relevant regulations.

In this way, The State General Administration of Sports is also fulfilling its own supervision and management by promoting the development of higher standards for sports events.
