Norwegian King and Queen on tour in China

Norwegian King Harald V and Queen Sonja will continue their state visit to China which started Oct 11. It is the couple's first visit to China since China and Norway normalized their diplomatic ties in April last year. It is also their fourth visit to the country since their first trip in 1985.

Geir O. Pedersen, Norwegian ambassador to China, said the couple's 10-day trip will take them to Dunhuang, Beijing and Shanghai.

Together with the king and queen is a Norwegian business delegation of 340 people representing 140 companies. A total of 40 commercial agreements are expected to be signed during the visit.
