Biological and pharmaceutical organizations from China, the United States, Russia, Israel, France and Japan have reached a consensus to build a global biomedical economic cooperation circle.

The six parties agreed in the Pearl River Consensus to accelerate efficiency of the biomedical resource allocation during the 12th China Bioindustry Convention, which opened in Guangzhou, the capital of South China's Guangdong province, on Monday.

The parties also called for more efforts to build a think-tank network with regional characteristics and strategic innovation in global bioindustry cooperation.

More than 300 domestic and overseas biological and pharmaceutical companies and a number of leading international business leaders are participating in the three-day convention.
