Opening
Two new Wanda hotels opened in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, in mid-June. Wanda Vista Guangzhou and Wanda Realm Guangzhou have a combined 510 guest rooms and six restaurants in different styles and 6,000 square meters of conference and banquet facilities. They are designed to become a new attraction to both tourists and business travelers, according to the hotels.
Charity
Wanda Hotels & Resorts celebrated its own Thanksgiving Day, which falls on May 21, by hosting an event to promote charity awareness from May 20 to 24. During the weeklong event, more than 10,000 company staff members participated in scores of charity activities across the country, including blood donation in Lanzhou, Gansu province and a birthday party for orphans in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
Children Fashion
InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun launched a children's fashion show, The Voice of Kids, earlier this month. In partnership with children's clothing brand Mini Shatsu and the local culture company LongTeng Kids, the show provided children with opportunities to interact with fashion icons in Beijing. The stage was set at the corridor of its banquet hall and was decorated with colorful lights. The show attracted more than 80 children from around the country.
