Food retailer Sainsbury's has unveiled the UK's first signing store in Bath for four days as part of its 150 Days of Community initiative, to make shopping easier for customers who are hard of hearing.

In the supermarket, staff communicated with customers both verbally and with sign language, signing common words and phrases such as the locations of food items.

It is estimated that around 11 million people in the UK live with hearing loss, approximately 35,000 of whom live in Bath.
