A vinyl record of March of the Volunteers, the national anthem of People's Republic of China, was recently donated to the National Museum of China in Beijing.

Donated by Wang Shilin, an entrepreneur and collector of vintage vinyl records, the 1949 record was among the first edition of recordings of PRC's anthem.

A music lover since childhood, Wang has assembled a collection of musical records, especially vinyl records, over the past decade. He also donated to the National Museum dozens of other vintage vinyl records of musical pieces spanning seven decades and marking anniversaries of PRC's establishment.
