British engineer's impressions of China | Updated: 2019-09-18 06:30

It's no great surprise to Angus Black, once the youngest chartered engineer in the UK, that China has made many seemingly impossible things possible in recent decades.

He came to China in 1990, not knowing what the country was like or where its future would lead.

Listen to his story and see the sharp contrast between before and after he came to China.

This video is the eighth in our series New China at 70.
