An Air France Boeing 777 jetliner heading to Paris returned to Beijing Capital International Airport just past noon on Friday after a fire alarm forced the pilots to reverse course, takefoto.cn reported.
The flight, AF 125, boarded passengers at the airport's Terminal 2 and took off at 9:34 am. The flight was expected to cover 8,185 kilometers and land at Charles de Gaulle Airport.
However, a fire alarm was triggered for unknown reasons. The plane sent out a 7700 code, signaling an emergency, and dumped its fuel before it returned to Beijing.
The plane landed at the airport at 12:04 pm. All passengers on the plane were taken off the plane, according to the airport.
