Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade kicks off on Thursday

The 2019 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade kicked off at 9 am on Thursday. It's a holiday tradition in New York City for nearly 100 years.

This year, balloons flew lower to the ground due to windy conditions.

Over 70 giant balloons, balloonicles and floats along with tens of performers and marching bands joined millions of spectators along a 2.5-mile parade route from Central Park to Macy's Herald Square.
