Shanghai Tower ushers in 2020 with series of events

The Shanghai Tower hosted various events on Dec 31, 2019 to usher in the new year, marking the first time the building organized such overnight celebrations.

In addition to an electronic dance music party on the 126th floor and a children’s science and technology discovery event on the 119th floor, more than 200 Shanghai watched the sun rise from the 118th floor on Jan 1, 2020.

Located in Lujiazui, Shanghai’s financial hub, the 632-meter Shanghai Tower is the tallest building in China and the second tallest in the world, second to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
