Spring marks the beginning of a new year, also the start of a natural cycle. Plants wake up as temperatures rise. Recently, 7,000 hectares of cole flowers were in bloom at the ancient village in Wuyuan county, East China's Jiangxi province.

Known as Huangling Terrace, the area is named one of the world's top 10 terraces of its kind. As a mountain-dwelling village, Huangling transforms its lack of flat land into a unique strength. Hundreds of antique houses are built on the slope, almost 100 meters high from top to bottom.

The village, rated a national AAAA scenic spot (the second-highest rating for tourist attractions in China), draws worldwide visitors throughout the year to its picturesque landscape.
