Migratory birds return to mountain enclave

Every spring, the wetlands at the foot of the Qilian Mountains in Gansu province welcome thousands of migratory birds, including egrets and mallard ducks. The mountainous area, one of 32 priority areas for biodiversity conservation in China, is home to 206 species of birds.
