Working parents lives become easier with job site child care center
Thanks to the child care center at her job, Yang Xiaoyan, a 30-year-old mother of two children in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, is able to work.
"For years, I've been staying at home, taking care of my children. Now I can earn 3,000 yuan ($424) a month," she rejoiced.
The anti-poverty workshop of the Ningxia Wuzhong Bisheng Textile Co Ltd was built in 2019 in Wuzhong's Litong district, mainly producing plastic woven bags.
With a piecework wage system, employees need not to work fixed hours. In addition, the child-care center at the workshop makes it more attractive.
When the workshop restarted production recently, more than 30 employees came to work here every day, bringing at least seven youngsters to the child care center, which has toys, books, television and someone to take care of them.
Zhang Lei, who is in charge of the company, said he invested more than 50,000 yuan to set up the center for employees who need it.
It is particularly advantageous for recruiting employees. Parents can work at ease while their children are reading and playing nearby, he said.
